Re: EMS Event Notification Value: "MAJORWARNING (3)" for Resource: "/system/events/cp

Flooding the forum again by posting the same question into all sub-forums?

No need to do this, 1 thread is enough ;-)

Run

# /opt/resmon/bin/resdata -R 144113669 -r /system/events/cpe/cperrors -n 144113665 -a

(one line)

and post results.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: EMS Event Notification Value: "MAJORWARNING (3)" for Resource: "/system/events/cp

A platform error was corrected by the firmware/hardware. The error
occurred on the Host Bridge Adapter (Mercury). The PCI card connected to
this adapter is at slot (1).

The error was corrected, so I would watch the system if the issue repeats.

BTW, your diagnostics is likely from 2007 (initial release), so it is time to update!

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: EMS Event Notification Value: "MAJORWARNING (3)" for Resource: "/system/events/cp

It looks to met that there was a problem with the chip that connects slots 9 and 10, but these are empty on your server. So it isn't a real problem by now. If it re-occurs, you should talk to HP support and let the I/O base port replace (or whatever they suggest).

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: EMS Event Notification Value: "MAJORWARNING (3)" for Resource: "/system/events/cp

But this could even be a firmware problem.

Could you please connect to MP, switch to CM and run "sysrev"?

MP:CM> sysrev

Current version is

 iLO-2 MP FW : F.02.26
 BMC FW      : 05.26
 EFI FW      : ROM A 07.14, ROM B 07.14
 System FW   : ROM A 04.15, ROM B 04.15, Boot ROM A
 PDH FW      : 50.07
 DHPC FW     : 01.23
 UCIO FW     : 03.0b
 PRS FW      : 00.08 UpSeqRev: 0c, DownSeqRev: 08
 HFC FW      : 00.04 SetRev: 00

Hope this helps!
