ERROR: The data for the configuration to be used at next boot could not be read.

hi Guru's,

I m facing problem while executing kctune command from users login. but same i can able to execute without any issues if i do the same from root.

Below info may help u out to help me.

Try to study the below forum which is similar to my problem but can't able to identify where i m loosing.

The error message is :
# /usr/sbin/kctune
ERROR: The data for the configuration to be used at next boot could not be read.

Hi,

Please take the backup of /stand/current to /stand/current.old and copy the /stand/backup/current /stand/current then try to execute the kctune command.

Hi gurus,

Apologise for too late reply. I have got the answer long back.

Th file permissions of /stand/current directory should be world readable. So, that only enable other users to execute kctune command.

Although it is only advisable if your users realy requires to use kctune command.
