Error connecting to a server
Hi,
This is such a case...
Yesterday (as John & Paul said)...
- I couldn't reach a server from the LAN
- The server is on the DMZ and is mapped to the LAN
- But from this server I can ping another one on the same segment and of course on the DMZ
The problem was: on this server I have a weblogic application server the datasource failed 'cause the user's password expired.
**********************************************
So the question: this kind of problem could generate this kind of erratic behavior on the LAN HBA?

This is not a useful problem description. It
does not say what you did. It does not say
what happened when you did it.
And you're not on or "from the LAN". You're
on some (undescribed) computer which may be
connected to the LAN.
Showing actual commands with their actual
output can be more helpful (or HELP!-ful)
than vague descriptions and interpretations.

Re: Error connecting to a server
Hi Steven,
I have a WebLogic application on Machine A that connects to a datasource on a Machine B.
Mi PC is on the LAN.
Machine B the one with the problem, on the DMZ but mapped to an IP Address on the LAN.
I cann't ping from the LAN to Machine A.
I can ping from Machine A to Machine C (both on the DMZ)

Re: Error connecting to a server
It is hard to picture what is going on over there. But my suggestion is to nail down those network dudes and tell them what you want to do.
