Error meassage : vgchange: Activation mode requested for the volume group "/dev/vg04" conflicts

We are unable to access vg04 partition and getting following error.

vgchange: Activation mode requested for the volume group "/dev/vg04" conflicts with configured mode.

Please help us.

What else do you know about vg04? Is it shared with another server? What does vgdisplay show?
What options do you type with the vgchange command?
