Re: Error while taking backup

disk 33 0/0/1/0.1.0 sdisk NO_HW DEVICE HP DVD-ROM 305
/dev/dsk/c9t1d0 /dev/rdsk/c9t1d0

The DVD is not there.

Please check if it is listed in /etc/fstab and remove, if present.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Error while taking backup

Hi Mithun,

from the output it is clear that this is a DVD and not available in OS.

disk 33 0/0/1/0.1.0 sdisk NO_HW DEVICE HP DVD-ROM 305
/dev/dsk/c9t1d0 /dev/rdsk/c9t1d0

are you taking backup on DVD or from DVD?
what exactly you are doing?

if you dont have permisson then please discuss with your system Admin.

Re: Error while taking backup

The system try to touch it, probably because it is listed in fstab.

Remove the entry, check the drive or remove the device file of the dvd.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
