Euro symbol not printing from HPUX 11.11 to HP LJ 4100B.
Hi ALl,
We have a requirement to print Euro symbol in HPUX 11.11. For SSH sessionwe have changed the Charactor set to ISO-8859-15:1999(Latin9, "euro")in putty to show euro symbol. Now echo "\0244" is showing the euro symbol. How ever if we print the same in HP LJ 4100B network printer we are getting ┬д symbol and тВм is not printing. Please help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Parthasarathi J.

Re: Euro symbol not printing from HPUX 11.11 to HP LJ 4100B.
As with all printing printing, there is nothing in HP-UX that can ensure a specific character will print the same way on a printer and a terminal emulator. The printer stores the character sets that it can use with l;ittle in common with putty. There are hundreds of HP printer models, and each has their own character sets.
You'll have to consult the printers technical reference manual and figure out how to select a character set that matches putty. Here is the PCL manual:

Thanks bill. I will go through the printer manual for HP LJ 4100.
