Expanded Node and Host Names

Will HP-UX 11.11 and HP-UX 11.23 supports Expanded Node and Host Names (more than 8 characters)? Please let me know the process if it is possible

the default os configuration supports nodename up to 8 character whereas hostname can range up to 64 char.

I believe that 11.23 has a patch to support this where 11.31 has this builtin.

You need to read the cautions very carefully because not all applications will work in you have longer host names.
