Re: FTP Problem

Check if ftp service is enabled in inetd.conf and check /var/adm/inetd.sec file for restrictions.

Re: FTP Problem

On the non-working server try:
ftp localhost

if it is ok - contact your network admin to check access.

Re: FTP Problem

A couple of other things to check on 172.16.2.188:

- ipfstat -in
Lists your inbound firewall rules, if you are running ipfilter.

- cat /etc/hosts.deny
If you have ftpd wrapped with tcpd in /etc/inetd.conf

5) Did you try to ftp from Windows or any other server in same IP class to 172.16.2.188. Does it work ?
