Fail the Alternate boot disk
Hi All!
I have completed root mirroring and looks ok .Both the primary and alternate disk works fine.
But for some testing reason i want to make alternate disk to look failed state and alternate mirror should show stale extents.
How can we make this without touching the server and removing the disk..

Re: Fail the Alternate boot disk
I pvchange -a N /dev/dsk/alternate disk will detach the all the paths of alternate disk from lvm.
-n Detach only the indicated path to
the physical volume. A detached
path is not available for LVM to use.
