Fiber card error: Received BA_RJT as response to ABTS

Hello Gurus,

I get these alerts for 2 fc interfaces everyday. I tried finding what it means but couldn't find any good references.

I am also attaching some info about the interfaces.

Description of Error:

Received BA_RJT as response to ABTS from device at
port 0x11d00
BA_RJT reason code is 0x3
Full BA_RJT payload is 0x30300


Probable Cause / Recommended Action:

The attempt to abort an I/O was rejected. This might indicate
a non-PLDA compliant device.
Examine the reject reason code and fibre channel device
logs for errors. If the problem persists, contact your
HP customer representative.


Please share info if anyone has come across such alerts

I suspect to check you SAN - cable from switch

or check with your storage Support Admin

above command will show all the luns attached, we can doudble confirm all disk are shown claimed with associated withe HW path "1/0/4/1/0"

No ioscan -fnC fc

also check "/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log

Any inputs for above Question?

As mentioned above you need perform some tests on the Fc card,

man fcmsutil

and see the attachment file

couldn't find anything relevant in syslog.log.

Can you suggest some tests that we can perform on the fc interface

if all above suggestions "didn't help

meaning through check on fc card
proper check from fc cable switch /storage side

log HW call to HP

I wont get an answer from the storage admin so soon. It will take time. I work remotely so cant check the cabling myself.
