Hi,

can you give us the whole command that you run and the whole error message?
Also which os and hardware do you have?

Re: File system corrupted

If you see any errors about block read or errno=5, this is a bad disk and cannot be fixed. fsck will unscramble incorrect data items withing the directories but cannot fix unreadable data. Do you have disk errors logged in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log?

Re: File system corrupted

As Bill stated, historical "syslog.log" may have a tip for teh actual issue; also try "dmesg" command.
if the filesystem is added to "/etc/fstab", verify the the mount calls the right switches.
Check what disks are spanned by the volume/filesystem and make sure the disk(s) where the filesystem lays is CLAIMED:
# ioscan -dnC disk
