Filecache_max

Dear All,

 

We are running ORACLE 11g R2 on HP-UX 1.31. The memory on the server is 14GB. The figure for the filecache_max is 50% and at the moment the current usage is 99.9%.

 

Kindly tell me what i should do.

HP provides a utility called Tune-n-Tools.  The command provided is called "tuneserver".  The tuneserver command provides a one-step method of tuning the HP-UX kernel specifically for Oracle workloads.  This command will modify more than just the filecache tunables, so you should read up on the tool before using.  Here's where you can learn more about the tool:
