Ftp user without user's login in server

Hi,

Is it possible to create an ftp user without user's login (/etc/passwd) in the server?.

We want that the user could do ftps but that him don't enter enter in the server.

That's called restricted ftp user account.

=> I think No

We want that the user could do ftps but that him don't enter enter in the server

=> you can do this by assigning ftp user with login shell /usr/bin/false.User won't be able to login to system.
