Got ISEE installed. Should I be doing anything else other than change password?

Got ISEE installed? Any recommendations for configuration changes other than change the admin password?

Should I go ahead and remove Predictive?

When do the open and closed events get deleted?

Hi Jack,

Found informations and some docs for you,

http://h61001.www6.hp.com/isee_training/sc.overview.htm

On the right side there are some install and configuration guides.

Hope it helps,

Robert-Jan.

Jack --

DO NOT REMOVE PREDICTIVE SUPPORT.

While this is noted in some versions of the User's Guide, removing Predictive Support will break the online diagnostics.

ISEE will automatically disable Predictive Support while leaving the filesets in place that are shared with the online diagnostics.

Jack,

Not sure if you got the answer to your last question....
When do the open and closed events get deleted?

On hp-ux systems, a cron job is setup to run the script pruneIncidents.sh once a week.

The pruneIncidents.sh file says:
# FILE: pruneIncidents.sh
# DESCRIPTION: This file removes logfiles of
# resolved, withdrawn, and expired incidents
# from the client file system. It is called
# by a cron job to keep the file system from
# filling up without bound.
#
# Works by removing all the incident.dat files
# from /var/opt/hpservices/incidents/
# that are older than the MAXCLOSEDINCIDENTAGE
# specified in
# /opt/hpservices/RemoteSupport/config/ISEEConstants.properties
# and have the "State" variable set to
# 7, 8 , or 9.

ISEEConstants.properties says the following:
# Number of days closed incident data files will sit on the file system before being deleted.
# MAXCLOSEDINCIDENTAGE=30

Hope this clarifies the issue,
