HBA port limit

How many TB can be presented from SAN to the single below HBA port? Is there any limit for this?
HP AB379-60001 4Gb Dual Port PCI/PCI-X Fibre Channel Adapter (FC Port 1)

Thanks,
Srini

Re: HBA port limit

There are limits yes - they6 are different for different parts of the stack and different OS versions

http://docs.hp.com/en/MassStorageStack/The_Next_Generation_Mass_Storage_Stack.pdf

what specifically are you looking to do? on what OS version?

Re: HBA port limit

Hi

Your OS Filesystem have Size restrictions.
There is no limit for FC cards.
There are just mode for access for SAN Storage

Re: HBA port limit

An HBA port is just a connection. The HBA knows nothing about storage. You can present terabytes, petabytes or exabytes (or more...) to any HBA. The card simply passes the data back and forth. The limitations for LUN size is an HP-UX limitation. The attached document describes the various limits.

Re: HBA port limit

As mentioned on the above ports,

limitations are not ment for "HBA " Cards

Its mode of connection to your storage via "Fc switch"

you need to check which Hpux -OS version which can support your need inorder to create TB / File system

Hope this clears your Question
