I'm trying to install a DE600 NIC on a DS20e AlphaServer runing v4.0f system. I have tried using NHD v3 but without success. I cannot use a CD as I have a IDE drive which isn't supported. I have tried the using a HDD but the process bombs out with the following error:
--------------------------------------
Error: Undefined:
dump_cores
dump_setugid_cores
executable_data
restricted_symlink_follow
restricted_link_creat
restricted_fifo_open
6 Undefined symbols, aborting load
--------------------------------------
Does anyone know how to get around the above errors or how to install the driver another way.
TIA

Re: HELP Installing DE600 adapter v4.0f
The search engine in the ITRC Forum sucks (time, energy, goodwill, confidence, attitude).
For example, just now I used 'more options' --> 'advance search' for the word DE600 in subject and full text mode in category Tru64 and it only came up with:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=240964
"How do I query active lan interface settings "
In both cases! Where this clearly does not have DE600 in the subject line.
It did not find:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=510192
"DE600 on Tru64 4.0E"
Which _does_ have DE600 in the subject line.
(Allthough the article will not help you).
The only reasonable way to searh the forums (imho) is from the outside through Google.
Try google for something along the lines of:
+de600 +tru64 +site:itrc.hp.com
Good luck!
Hein.
