Like you noticed there are plenty of documents to learn about HP-UX, specifically the HP-UX Administration guides, but if you are new to this, I recommend you to go with a book, look for the HP-UX CSA official study guide and desk reference by Rafeeq Ur Rehman, it´s a good book that will start with the basics and work its way from there, since how to log into the OS to HP-UX networking.
