HP Insight services not starting

We installed Insight version 3.6 on one of our test servers. Initially the utility worked fine. However after restarting the service a few times through the cleint browser we cannot restart one of the services. The result is attempts to access the url eventually timeout.

From the OS we see the following - the third service does start, just hangs.

# /sbin/init.d/snmpd stop
# /sbin/init.d/snmpd start
# /sbin/init.d/insightd stop
# /sbin/init.d/insightd start
Threshold Management Subagent started
Intelligent Drive Array and Fibre Channel Subagent started
# /sbin/init.d/hpsmhd stop
# /sbin/init.d/hpsmhd start
Connected to 127.0.0.1:2301....

You could have mentioned your OS version and patch details.

Have you installed any patch kit after Insight mgr installed?, if that is the case, the new patch installation will update few of the original /sbin/init.d/xxxxxd scripts.
In this situation, insightd and snmpd will have problems, so if you have the backup of those scripts, you can try replace the current scripts with backup copy. Otherwise I hope we will have to modify the existing scripts.
This is case when you install any patch been installed after insight manager installed.

My oversight about the version.

Our OS is TRU64 5.1b3. Yesterday we installed 'HP Insight Management Agents V3.6 for Tru64 UNIX CPQIM360' on a test server. No patches were applied afterwards.
