Re: HP Integrity BL860c i2, unable to install HP-UX 11i v3
As a workaround you could try the iLO Virtual Media:
- Stick the DVD into your PC.
- Open iLO in your Browser.
- Navigate to "Virtual Media".
- Click on the "Launch" button in the top right corner (easy to miss).
This is for iLO 01.41.01 (I'm not on 01.51.03 yet)

Re: HP Integrity BL860c i2, unable to install HP-UX 11i v3
SAME ISSUE!!!!! Over and over...NO rescan doesn't help! NO rebooting doesn't help! NO it doesn't matter what device I pick, same error: could not find q_boot device...blah blah {esoteric} nonsense.
HP needs their feet held to the fire for making garbage like this - it's 2013 HP - dvd roms have been around for awhile.

Re: HP Integrity BL860c i2, unable to install HP-UX 11i v3
Some more details would be useful - FW versions, install media release, etc ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP Integrity BL860c i2, unable to install HP-UX 11i v3
Before, we also encountered issues and difficulty installing 11.31 using external DVD drive and always ending up failed.
It happened because we are using NON-HP model of external DVD drive. Upon purchasing and using HP model DVD drive, then it just worked everything perfectly. Now onwards, I still preferr to use any HP DVD drive model when it needed.
Cheers!
