HP LOGICAL VOLUME

Hi,

I have one itanium with two disks connected, but when I do an
#ioscan -fnuCdisk, it shows me

disk 1 0/2/1/0/4/0.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP LOGICAL VOLUME

/dev/dsk/c4t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0
/dev/dsk/c4t0d0s1 /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0s1
/dev/dsk/c4t0d0s2 /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0s2
/dev/dsk/c4t0d0s3 /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0s3

What is it?
Thanks!
Carmen.

Re: HP LOGICAL VOLUME

And how can I make a mirror with this?, if its only one LOGICAL VOLUME with 2 disk?

Thanks!

Re: HP LOGICAL VOLUME

I'm sorry
At the machine are two disk, but when I do an ioscan this shows me HP LOGICAL VOLUME, and there are two solutions (I think):

1) One of the disk are bad connect
2) HP LOGICAL VOLUME means the 2 disks together ├В┬┐?

But, if HP LOGICAL VOLUME means only one disk, then I maybe have one disk wrong.

What do you think?

Thanks!
Carmen.

Re: HP LOGICAL VOLUME

I dont' know why the "HP LOGICAL VOLUME " output but the

/dev/dsk/c4t0d0

is the special file for the disk

and the s1 s2 s3 is for the partition in the same disk then for me you see one disk.
