HP PSP on Debian Etch - cpqci: Unknown symbol

Hello,

We are using HP PSP on almost all of our Proliant Servers running Debian Etch (kernel 2.6.18-6).

On few of them we have problems getting the kernel module cpqci.ko working. The build via the Makefile seems to work successful, but when trying to load it, it fails with:

cpqci: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel.
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiDrvUnregisterWaiter
cpqci: Unknown symbol get_connection_object
cpqci: Unknown symbol print_connection_object
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiDrvDeleteAdapter
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiDrvCreateAdapter
cpqci: Unknown symbol get_channel_object
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiDrvGetPendingChannels
cpqci: Unknown symbol remap_page_range
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiDrvCreateChannel
cpqci: Unknown symbol print_channel_object
cpqci: Unknown symbol GetMemoryHandle
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiDrvRegisterWaiter
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiDrvCloseChannel
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiShareContext
cpqci: Unknown symbol CpqCiDrvOpenChannel

Right now we were not able to find out what causes this - the servers which are not working have the exact same software setup (gcc, kernel version, ...) as the working once. Just the hardware differs a bit (different Proliant generations).

Someone else also stumbled across this?

Regards,
Andreas
