I have an unusual problem. i have a MSA2312fc and a BL860c with HP-UX 11.31
On the MSA i've created 12 volumens (LUNs), under a single vdisk in RAID5. i created the zones on the san switch.
On the side of the HP-UX, i can view the correct paths of hardware if i do an ioscan -fn
so that leaves behind that it can be an issue on the san switch
ok, so the problem is that i can only see 8 LUNs on the HP-UX!!! Every LUN matches the right size assigned on the MSA.
I tried not mapping and mapping the LUNs to the host and seems fine... I re-created the vdisk and the volumes too
I don't know what it can be
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Re: HP-UX 11.31 and MSA2312fc LUN mapping
According to the manual there is a Server OS Type to be selected.
Found this in "HP StorageWorks Simple SAN Connection Manager user guide"
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Solutionrecently worked with this kind of storage area and hp-ux 11.31. To modify Os type, expand folder "Hosts" in the "Configuration view" panel, select the host, then "Provisionning --> Rename Host". You will find a "Profile" box in which you must select "HP-UX"
