Re: HP-UX 11i. v23 not coming on GUI
Do you mean 11i v2 = 11.23?
> 1. console set on VGA
Console of _what_?
Workstation support for HP-UX ended with
11i v1 = 11.11.
What, exactly, did you do? Install some
version of HP-UX on some system? (Which and
which?)

Re: HP-UX 11i. v23 not coming on GUI
Tell HP. The start-up sequence on my 11.11
system always includes these reassuring bits:
[...]
/sbin/auto_parms: DHCP access is disabled (see /etc/auto_parms.log)
/sbin/auto_parms[1657]: /tmp/sh100.113: cannot create
/sbin/auto_parms[24]: who: not found
/sbin/auto_parms[34]: ps: not found
/sbin/auto_parms[34]: grep: not found
HP-UX Start-up in progress

_I_ didn't write (or install) the script
which tries to use a bunch of programs in
"/usr" before "/usr" is mounted.
But this stuff seems not to be particularly
important.
