HP-UX 11iV3 8gb drivers

Hello Gurus,

I connected a a blade 870c i2 to a 8gb san (Brocade & Hitachi array) but the io to drives are very slow. I set to ports of the array to 8gb and also the hbas thru the EFI driver. The virtual connect is looking seeing everything 8gb.

I would to know if this could be a problem with HP-UX 11iV3 not supporting the 8gb hbas mezzanine cards or if someone had this problem and how was it resolved?

Thanks,

JT

Shalom,

Please post
model
uname -a

ioscan -fnCfc

From the above data there should be enough information to see if the Fiber cards support this infrastructure.

HP-UX 11.31 supports 8gbit HBAs. You can check the link speed with 'fcmsutil /dev/fcd0'.

Here are two docs that might help you diagnose your IO performance problems:

'Using the ms_scan_time option to display mass storage device scan times'
http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01914718/c01914718.pdf

'Mass Storage I/O Performance Improvements'

(see chapter 6)
