HP-UX and MSA1500cs Disk Path Problem

Hi,

I have four rx2660 servers and MSA1500cs+two MSA30 storage. All are connected through fiber.

Previously i have several logical drives on MSA1500 configured for four rx2660. Now problem is that i moved two nodes to other location and their respective logical drives deleted from the MSA1500. During this activity, i powered off all my servers. After this activity, when i powered up remaining two servers, the logical drive path lost like: before deletion i had /dev/rdsk/c2t0d2, /dev/rdsk/c2t0d3 were using for voting and OCR purpose and /dev/rdsk/c2t0d4 and /dev/rdsk/c2t0d6 were used for ASM1 and ASM2.

But now, the c2t0d2 shifted to c2t0d1 and c2t0d3 shifted to c2t0d2. On the other side, c2t0d4 shifted to c2t0d3 and c2t0d6 shifted c2t0d5.

Is there any way to revert back the actual path because the problem is very critical and our oracle ERP is down.

Please help me urgently to resolve the issue.

Hi,
You always can vgimport you vg with the new disk target. First do the vgimport with the preview mode.

Dear smatador,
I khalid working with Farooq, yes we used vgimport to retrieve our lost VGs and it was successful, but c2t0d2 and c2t0d3 were ocr and voting disk which are on raw format, and other two are using with ASM which is also not a LVM format.
