Re: HP-UX restore procedures

So you need to check if you need to mirror your boot disk again and import other VGs.

Hope this helps!

Re: HP-UX restore procedures

Are there all filesystems structures created as it's before backup?

Re: HP-UX restore procedures

It depends on how did you take your backup.

Normally you backup the complete vg00 and you restore this to a single disk. This is the reason why you probably need to mirror these disks again.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: HP-UX restore procedures

By default all file systems from the source system are restored by Ignite to the target system.
You can interrupt the ignite process to go to the ignite interface and modify fs structures if you want, but by default, jobs done by ignite is OK

Re: HP-UX restore procedures

Unless the backup was not taken in an unusual way, you should not even need to import non-system VGs as the LVM configuration for all volume groups is kept in files within vg00.

Re: HP-UX restore procedures

I don't have some /var structures like empty or other dirs and mirror root disks.
