HPACUCLI + P410/512 + RAID5 + Expanding
Currently have a RAID5 array of 4 x 3TB Sata Disks on a P410/512 running 5.7FW:

Logical Drive Label: A2B46355PACCRID11180J9T2320

I have an additional 4 disks unassigned:
(1 of 4):
unassigned
physicaldrive 2I:0:5
Port: 2I
Box: 0
Bay: 5
Status: OK
Drive Type: Unassigned Drive
Interface Type: SATA

SATA NCQ Capable: True
SATA NCQ Enabled: True
Current Temperature (C): 35
Maximum Temperature (C): 52
PHY Count: 1
PHY Transfer Rate: 3.0Gbps
I use the standard command:
=> ctrl slot=7 ld 1 add drives=allunassigned
Error: This operation is not supported with the current configuration. Use the
"show" command on devices to show additional details about the
configuration.
Reason: Transformation size zero
Or the alternative:
=> ctrl slot=7 array A add drives=allunassigned
Error: This operation is not supported with the current configuration. Use the
"show" command on devices to show additional details about the
configuration.
Reason: Transformation size zero
I have a battery for my 512mb cache but it's not connected (dead, need a new one) - I should still be able to override and perform this.

Re: HPACUCLI + P410/512 + RAID5 + Expanding
I was wondering if this was ever resolved? I need to expand my array, but do not want to purchase the bbwc and battery if its not going to work.
Thank you,
Wade
