HPUX 11.00 to HPUX 11.31 migration.

Hi Admins,

We are in the process of upgrading old 11.00 server to the latest 11iv3. I do agree that update directly from 11.00 to 11.31 is not possbile. However as this OS 11.00 is out of support.. we are having plans to update it to the latest version 11.31 (again from PA-RISC to ITANIUM). Could you please let me know what are the things I need to look at to take a decision before migration and if you have had any experience / Technical documents.. then please share that to make this process a successful one.

Once the decision is taken then we will going for procuring the hardware to implement it.

Any checklist, process documents, etc related to OS migration will be very helpful.

Thanks & Regard.

If you are going to Integrity, you aren't upgrading, you are replacing the box.

You will need to make sure your applications are supported.

Thanks for the response. Yes. We will be replacing the box. What are the things I need to look at before taking a decision of replacing. One would be application. Could you please let me know the remaining ones. CPU speed.. etc.

Thanks
