HPUX 11.23 to 11.31 Upgradation----Expertise Help required

Dear Gurus,

i have almost 50 IA machines running HPUX 11.23 FOE(December 2008) .what is the best 11.31 version which we can upgrade it from 11.23 FOE .
1-what is the procedure to upgrade to 11.31 OS from 11.23 FOE
2-currently we having software & hardware contract with HP .shall we get 11.31 OS Media free of cost from HP for upgradation ? .if not what is the cost

1. best method is cold install from os dvd
2. yes its a free upgrade from 11.23 to 11.31

The latest 11.31 OE version would be from March 2010 and with a software contract available to you via SUM at no cost:

You have a choice of an upgrade or a cold-installation. You need to choose base on your environment and its management. See:
