I have a strange issue with my hp9000/rp7420 server running hpux 11.31.
The situation is that i dont have the primary disk partitioned. This characteristic only applies for IA servers ??.
Can i apply the cookbook for mirror procedure on parisc servers ??.
Regards !!

Re: HPUX 11.31 installation on parisc server !!
That's right. PA-RISC servers have no need to behave like Windoze machines so they don't have to partition their disks.

I'm not sure what "cookbook" you're referring to. If you have the LVM mirroring product then yes, you can do LVM mirroring.

??.
Correct. PA/RISC server do not need the disk 'slices'.

I think that should still work for 11.31. I haven't had the opportunity to test it though.

Re: HPUX 11.31 installation on parisc server !!
Once this characteristic is normal for parisc servers, i'm going to apply the procedure for mirror disk on parisc arquitecture.
Best Regards !!
