HPUX 3440 ignite - Fibre cards unclaimed

This is the servers firmware, not cards.

Normally the firmware on cards are not needed when running in a risc based server.

MP FW : E.03.32
BMC FW : 03.52
System FW : 46.34

I've attatched the output for the verify some interesting warnings, some minor issues with permissions which can be resolved, I'm guessing from what I'm reading I need to re-install the packages again as some of the warnings look fatal but ignored.

Consider to install the driver(s) again. Watch out for errors in the logs.

The Basic OS has the drivers for these cards available by default.

If you used Ignite to take a backup from a system without these cards to restore a system with these cards then:

Pull the drivers off a Core OS install DVD and boot and you should be fine.

Check the server documentation at http://docs.hp.com and make sure the cards are in slots that support the cards. With HP-UX hardware it does not work just because it fits.

all resolved now.

it was a patch dependency that wasn't installed correctly.

issue was with dependencies for the drivers not being installed correctly from the ignite host.

Resolving the dependencies and re-installing the drivers with the current version brought the fibre cards to life.
