HPUX Administration - Creating CBT Screen Videos -- What Tool?

I plan to come up with documentation that will consist of actual live screen playback of actual SysAdmin Procedures. In the past I always use Lotus ScreenCam -- but such is unsupported in Win2K and WinXP... Can anyone recommend a similar tool that will capture the screen into an AVI or self playable format (or Real/Quicktime)?

I've done this in the past on SOlaris and Linux environments and this turned out to be the best method in training Admins...

Snagit.

If you use X windows on a PC you can do screen captures, but those will be still images.

That website seems to contain other tools that may help.

Hi,

You may well want to ask this in the MS section of the forums as it's MS specific s/w you're after.

Re: HPUX Administration - Creating CBT Screen Videos -- What Tool?

I have placed my videos on unix webserver running apache with the following steps.
create a ram file on the server, then create a file.rm as text file. and into the file only one line entry "{PATH}\file.ram" without quotation.
This way everytime I click the icon for the video, it launches the realplayer and play the video quickly.
I hope works for you
