Help with Modem Install?

Hi all, I am new to UNIX and need to install an External US Robtics Modem in Tru64 V5.1B. Can anyone provide a link with a guide on this or some help?

Meant to also add I need instructions for doing it without the GUI, we do not have X-Windows enabled.

for in-dial or out-dial? Terminal Session or PPP?
Bascially attach it to the serial port, the Alpha end of the serial cable will depend on what model alpha your attaching it to. If its out dial your done, use kermit -l /dev/tty01 -b 9600 to talk with it at should repsond with OK. The serial
port will be either tty00 or tty01 use the file command to help you work it out and kermit at to make sure you got the correct one. If its indial then you will need to set up /etc/initab to have a getty wait for you to login.
