Hi
I am New to Tru64 Unix. My DS20E Alpha Server has crashed and does not boot up. I learnt from my fellow colleage that there are two paths to the boot disk. I can not boot the machine so How do I find out the alternate path. Pls can you guid me.

If the server has crashed, then it will probably be sitting at a prompt similar to P00>>>
At this prompt, you should be able to see the various boot settings, by using the command "show boot*". You can also see the devices in the machine with the command "show dev"
What error do you get when the machine tries to boot ?

Thanks..
My colleage had found out some failed components and switched the cables to the controller. We had to reconfigure the controller. The Server is up now.
