How can I change LPI setting with Linux print jobs?

I have a new HP 5200 printer configured in our LAN and when we use "lp" to print to it from a linux command prompt, the output is coming out at 6 lines per inch.

We need to have it print Linux jobs at 8 lines per inch instead. How can I adjust the font size and LPI setting to accomplish this?
