Re: How do I compile file as 64 bit on DEC?

(I'm asking this thread to be moved to the Tru64 forum.)

I thought the default option on Alpha is 64 bit?

For HP-UX, the default is +DD32 and +DD64 can be used.

64-bit what? Alpha is a 64-bit architecture.
Do you need 64-bit pointers, or 64-bit file
offsets, or what? Did you look at "man cc"?

Thank you for your answer. (^_^)and
sorry that I'd put a topic here instead of True64 forum. Should I remove it?
