How to Copy text from CDE terminal to Forum???

Hello everyone,

This may sound like a very simple task but I have been trying to do this for awhile now. I just want to copy text either from vi or just the command line in a terminal session and be able to paste it in either the Question section of the Forum or a Word application for example.

Any instructions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks

Have you tried on a 3 btn mouse :

highlighting textto be copied with the Left button
move focus to Netscape window & forum text window area
use middle button to paste text .... does this work ?

How do you get the Forum? Via Unix?
Just play with edit commands (copy and past).
If you have CDE via Exeed into PC, play with the right button of the mouse->edit.
For xstart, it is the same highlight and copy and to past it you can use Past Special...
But, it is another easy way, doesn't matter what you use: redirect the output to a file #command >file. Attach the file direct to the forum or email it to yourself...

You mention a word application so I think you are using an emulator on your PC such as Reflections or Exceed. If so then any of the Terminal windows you can right click on the top of the window and you get a menu up which includes EDIT - COPY X Selection or PASTE X Selection which you use to copy and paste to/from the clipboard on your PC (using cut and paste).
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...
