How to change the font and point size on Linux with CUPS

Hi,

I would like to change the font and/or the point size of a laserjet printer that has been configured with the 'system-config-printer' utility in RHEL 5.

Currently the font / point size seems to be about 18 points (about .25 inches tall) and I want to use just a generic 6 lines per inch 'line printer' style of font.

Any ideas how to do this.

Thanks,
Randy

Hi Randy,

One possible solution would be to do your printing via 'enscript' rather than 'lpr' or whatever you have been using.

Thanks,
