How to de-configure an MCSG cluster

I have a two-node, A.16, MCSG cluster. What are the procedures for de-configuring this architecture? I want both servers to be independent of each other.

You may consider to deinstall the serviceguard software - I would prefer a new installation of the server.

Hope this helps!

De-install as in swremove? My goal is two ensure only one server controls the customer's volume group, not MCSG.

Re: How to de-configure an MCSG cluster

first make sure that the stop start, mount, vg, nfs. scripts are no longer in control of the cluster:
edit: /etc/cmcluster/"packigename"/
than make sure the file system are mounted again by the server:

/etc/fstab (for mount points
/etc/export (for exports)

than make sure that after a reboot the file systems are activated:
/etc/lvmrc
than make sure the filesystems are no longer in shares mode (vgchange)
than make sure the disks are disconected and only visable from the remaing server (this wil prevent problems in the future)

After this changes you can use the swremove...

Re: How to de-configure an MCSG cluster

Hello,

look at the following document, page 31. It contains SG de-installation notes. Regarding VG control, to remove a particular volume group from under SG control, use vgchange -c n command after you have removed the package.
