How to enable rootlog...

I need to know how to enable rootlog on an HPUX 11.23 server or 11.31. I've noticed some servers we have that run 11.00 have a dir named /var/adm/rootlog and has a log of everyone who's su'ed to root and everything they did.

Where is this configured?
Today is different and tomorrow the same.

This sounds like a 3rd party product or something done at your site. This is not a "standard" HP-UX function or log.

Have heard about /var/adm/sulog but never about rootlog ?
Have you installed any specific software for that.

Also check for any cron job which you might be running to post the logs to that folder on 11.00

crontab -l

check to see if PowerBroker has been installed on the boxes in question. You should find something like /etc/pb.settings, /etc/pb.conf or similar. It has the ability to do the logging you noted.
