Re: How to extend VG in MB/GB? linux

Hello,

you have to extend your volume group and after that you must extend your logical volume.

vgextend

lvextend

If you use ext3 filesystem you may extend your fs online with ext2online

Re: How to extend VG in MB/GB? linux

hey

create a new 10gb partition with fdisk and extend the vg with the new partition and then the lvol

#vgextend /dev/yourvg /dev/newpartition
#lvextend -L 20480 /dev/yourvg/lvol1

-L new Size in MB

check the available size with vgdisplay and lvdisplay
