How to restart pam

Hi,

I have modify the file /etc/pam.d/system-auth, and now does anyone knows what daemon have I to restarted to the modifications get ok?

Hi

Actually pam is not a daemon services. its just authenticate services or users to specific usage. you need to restart the affected daemons.

For Example, if you change pam related to apache specifications, you need to restart the httpd daemon.

You don't need to restart daemons for pam settings to work.

The only time you may have to restart (reboot) anything is if you mung a pam file so that no one can login.
