How to restore a VM after make_net_recovery is done
Lets say my Ignite Server Name is: MRIGNITE and
Cleint/VM Name is:MRVM. I would like to create an image of MRVM and perform a complete restore.
on VM I ran:
/opt/ignite/bin/make_net_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -s MRIGNITE -d "MRVM"
This was completed successfully and created a 3GB file as below.
MRIGNITE:root(/var/opt/ignite/recovery/archives/MRVM)# ls -la
-rw------- 1 bin sys 3573539979 Apr 24 15:37 2009-04-04,15:43
Can someone please help me resolve the next steps?
What changes do I need to make on MRIGNITE so I can restore MRVM?
Once I am in MRVM's console, how do I make MRVM see/restore its image from MRIGNITE?
I would highly appreciate the help here.

Re: How to restore a VM after make_net_recovery is done
check Ignite-UX configuration guide for adding anonymous Itanium based clients:
http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-5309/5992-5309.pdf
configure your Ignite-UX server accordingly. After you are able to boot your client, you will continue with normal HPUX installation interface.

Re: How to restore a VM after make_net_recovery is done
There are a couple of ways you can do this
go to the console of the VM, "hpvmconsole"
reboot the VM so that we get to EFI shell
on the run "shell> lanboot select"
use select the lan card/VMSWITCH that is on the same subnet as MRIGNITE
( OR )
Assign an ISO image as DVD to the VM, boot off it, DO NOT INSTALL but you would get an option to POINT TO AN IGNITE SERVER, you can give MRIGNITE's ip address, Subnet and gateway
first method if both MRIGNITE and MRVM are in the same subnet
Second method if they are on different subnets
Please dont forget to assign points !!
