Looks like SUN is better here, i can modify/view console parameters from the Solaris OS itself.

In some configurations (model+OS) the SMH is using a special script to get the IP address.
This means, it is working on some models.

Loging MP LAN, then execute the below commands:-
>>> MP IP address
MP>cm
MP:CM>ls --------> lan status
>>> U did not menson which HP-UX box Ur using (Cellboard based)?
MP:CM>sysrev --------> system firmware version
MP:CM>pe ---------> system power option (Cellboard based)
MP:CM>pc ----------> system power option (non cellboard based)
MP:CM>cp ---------> Cabinet Parts
MP:CM>ps ---------> power status

What I mentioned above would be applicable on the environment
with SFM B.04.00.06.yy (11.23)/C.02.00.04.yy (11.31) or later.
Such enviroment has MP Instance Provider included in the
SFMProviderModule.
