I have just installed Cognos Transformer 8.4 on my HP-UX 11.31 server. The installation went fine but when I try to run the configuration tool, it crashes.
I believe that the application is 32-bit.
The Cognos support person has requested that that I set the _M_ARENA_OPTS environment variable as follows: _M_ARENA_OPTS 1:4
How do I do this?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, that would be a good place and action.
Regards!

Re: How to set _M_ARENA_OPTS
If you do that, this command will affect EVERY program that user runs.
It may be much better to export that variable on the script that executes configuration tool.
Did the support person say this is only needed for the config step and/or for the Transformer itself?
