How to use USB to instead of COM port to use tip command in ES47?

Hi all,

In Alpha ES47, it is no com ports on that, it just has USB ports. However, I would like to use tip command to access some devices. Do you anybody know that can I use USB port to instead of COM port in ES47??

modem, KB, and mouse are about the
only USB things that even have a chance of
working. I can not find other devices in the supported option list for USB.

Is the PBXDA option the only way to connect two seperate modems to a ES47?

no it is easier to use a terminalserver and connect the modems via lat protocol. Btw. old hardware like ds90/ds700 terminalservers are very cheap to do the job....
