Hp-ux installation

Hi,
I am beginner in hpux and i would like to know how to install hpux on my rp server that have no dvd drive. I have only one server at my workplace. Is there any possibility to install from network, let say from linux?

Not sure about Linux, but one option would be to use Ignite-UX. That is - if you already have another HP-UX server to act as an Ignite-UX server.

What model is that rp server? Maybe it has a slot for an IDE or SATA attachment on board?

With no DVD drive, your only choice is another HP-UX box. There is nothing available from Linux that could act as an install server.

If you have tape drive attached to your system then you can install using Ignite tape.

If you have a single server only, your only choice is to get a DVD drive.
Otherwise you can use another hp-ux server as ignite server.
