I can see the content of a tape
Hi,
I have an hp surestore dat tape drive, and when I try to see or extract the content of a tape, the next message appears:
# tar -xvf /dev/rmt/0mn
Tar: tape read error
I don??t know which program was used to compress the data into the tape, so I also used:
# cpio -idvcB End of volume
If you want to go on, type device/file name when ready
Has anybody an idea?
