how to find I/o issue and process awaiting for I/o resource in hp-ux

# sar -d 4 10
Look for the avwait and service time value, high avwait indicates there are i/o issues , i.e service requests are waiting on the queue for i/o. Also check in the storage side if everything is ok.

what Version of HPUX ?

uname -a

My client saying Analyst has an allegation that I/o issue and process awaiting for I/o resource were surfacing during the peak load.

HP-UX dbv2 B.11.11 U 9000/800 3164275268 unlimited-user license.

what exacly is the problem here....
disk,memory or CPU you will have to analyze with various commands.
glance would be one of the better tool.
sar and vmstat would also let you know about he disk and memory usage.
