IBM WebSphere aplicaion in HPUX OS
HI all,
Is any of you has HPUX box installed with any IBM WebSphere application?
Is it normal that the IBM Websphere require to install in /opt directory?
Then whenever user view/generate report in jasper and rtf is there cookies or tmp file ext with .rtf .jasper generated in any MAILMERGE and Report folder?
Can I delete the file?

Re: IBM WebSphere aplicaion in HPUX OS
Shalom,
It is very normal for optional software such as IBM Websphere to install in the /opt directory.
The tmp files can be deleted, but not real time.
Use find +mtime to sweep them away after they have not been modified for a reasonable period of time. The time period depends on how long typical user sessions last.

Re: IBM WebSphere aplicaion in HPUX OS
Before I delete the tmp file or I assume as cache file I need to confirm whether is real cache file?
Normally new file uploaded in /opt/IBM/webSphere/...
Never upload in this /oracle directory. Some more it was park in / (root directory).
I saw the file inside MAILMERGE and report since 2008 till current date.
